Rainbow Summer
Offered from April - end of September The Hollow provides a specialized rate/care plan for those animals that might not be able to comfortably get through another difficult winter season. BHH will coordinate with owners on level of care needed, with an emphasis on allowing as much unstructured 'horse time' as possible - to experience life in a herd (with health/safety in mind), eat summer grass, sleep when tired, play when playful, with the only expectation to be a horse.
Horses enrolled in the Rainbow Summer must be boarded at BHH for a minimum of three months prior to scheduled departure date to ensure minimal stress levels.
Vessel Transport - TEMP ON HOLD
Coordinating what to do with the remains of your equine (or other large animal) companion can be one of the most distressing elements of the end of life process. Moving them to their final resting place can be undiginified at best, and traumatic at worst. BHH has developed a system that takes the specific needs of this endeavor into account, providing as gentle, compassionate, and careful handling as possible. We can assist with transport across Oregon, but primarily serve the Willamette Valley at this time.
Vessel Management - Resting Space
Figuring out where your companion will spend this next phase of their journey resting is a huge decision - with few good options available for horses and large animals. BHH offers a number of vessel management options on site, in accordance with Washington County's land use regulations. Please message us for more information and details on what specific options are available.
